The short:
I have a job.
I have someone assisting me with payments for a place to stay.
Once I get to working with my new job, I can use that to make a down payment on a place to stay.

I has a flavor. It is the flavor of a jorb. I am, once again, a working American. Now all I have to do is get a place to stay. Tomorrow: Homeless Recovery.

Today and Tomorrow are free call days for me on Sprint, so don't hesitate to ring my bananaphone. :3 Also, yesterday would have been mom's birthday. :(

I am officially cheesed off at Metropolitan Ministries.

Two days ago, I asked the guy who approved me for food stamps, "How would I go about getting assistance for bus passes since I am homeless, and wish to be able to go job hunting?"
I was told to go and see the people at Tampa Bay Workforce.

I made a trip to Metropolitan Ministries the same morning, and asked the same question, and the guy gave me the same answer.

I do this on the next day, and they tell me, "We don't do that, unless you're in our program. Go ask your case worker."

Today, I go to the welfare office, and I ask, "How do I get bus passes, so I can get to and from my job interview, and hopefully my next job?"
The lady says, "We don't do that. Go ask HARTLine."

I go to ask HARTLine about these passes, and they declined to know anything about them.

I said to the HARTLine clerk, "Thanks for your time. I need to go see who's bullshitting me around here."

I go back to Metropolitan Ministries on an unrelated matter, to ask about my clothing voucher that never made it over to where it should be. Two people in front of me asked the same bloody question, and the guy says to them, "You need to call the Sunshine Line. They can arrange for you to get a bus pass to get around."

Why couldn't he have told me this two days ago, and saved me some damn time?!
Instead, I go running about the city looking like a fool -- a homeless fool -- trying to get myself a way to get around without spending what little cash I have left.

BRAVO, you idiot.

Just got a few minutes left here in my session.

Wanted to let you all know that I'm very much alive, conscious, and doing my best to get on my feet.

I have a P. O. Box now, so I can receive letters and mail, and the like.
If you want to write letters to me (I'd like that :3), feel free to do so at that address. Please just keep the size as small as feasible, since I have a #1 box, which only holds a small amount of mail.

Phone's still up and working for now, so we'll see how this goes.

Thanks for caring, and take care.

so, i'm in the SA, surrounded by snoring men. god, it sucks to be a light sleeper. it's very good to be inside tonight, though. it's been raining, and still is. i should sleep here in this corner while this phone charges up. the sound of the Pepsi machina is like a sweet lullabye to me, who is used to the even, sonorous drone of my computer. i hope this finishes charging soon. my floor mat is hailing me pretty thoroughly. interesting thought for you: i have eaten much better today than i have in weeks. pizza, italian sub, turkey and rice... ugh. i'm actually getting sick at the thought. that is, of course, after giving away two other sandwiches to others who needed them more than i did at the time. i'm gonna call it the rest of my night, since they are supposed to punt us out at 6.

Other than last night, where my aunt caught me trying to sleep in my car, and the temperature was dropping, and made me come in, eat, and sleep here...

I'm out of the house.

Thanks to donations from Cass and Arshes yesterday, I was able to turn my phone back on, which will help seriously in the search for a job, since I can now be reached at a number.
That number is 813-785-9551.
I accept calls freely on the weekends, and after 7 pm on weekdays.
Text messages are limited, because I only get 300 per month.

Just wish me luck or something.
